Silver Dollar Fish

Silver Dollar Fish is a popular freshwater fish known for its round, shiny silver body that resembles a coin, which gives it the name “Silver Dollar.” These peaceful schooling fish are very active swimmers and look impressive in larger aquariums.

• Temperament: Peaceful

• Tank level: Middle swimmer

• Lifespan: 8–10 years

• Diet: Herbivore/Omnivore (vegetables, flakes, pellets, plant matter)

Tank Requirements:

• Minimum tank size: 120 liters

• Temperature: 24–28°C

• pH: 6.0–7.5

• Best kept in groups of 5 or more

Compatibility:Silver Dollar fish do well with other peaceful medium to large fish like gouramis, larger tetras, rainbowfish, and peaceful cichlids.

Special Note:They are known to eat aquarium plants, so hardy plants or artificial plants are often recommended.
