Peacock Cichlid 

Peacock Cichlid is a stunning freshwater fish from Lake Malawi in Africa, famous for its brilliant colors such as blue, red, yellow, and orange. Males display very vibrant coloration, making them a favorite among cichlid hobbyists and a beautiful centerpiece fish for cichlid aquariums.

Features:

• Size: 10–15 cm

• Temperament: Semi-aggressive

• Tank level: Middle to bottom swimmer

• Lifespan: 6–8 years

• Diet: Omnivore (high-quality cichlid pellets, flakes, frozen or live foods)

Tank Requirements:

• Minimum tank size: 120 liters

• Temperature: 24–28°C

• pH: 7.5–8.5

• Prefer rocky aquariums with caves and open swimming space

Compatibility:Peacock Cichlids are best kept with other African cichlids of similar size and temperament.

Special Note:Males develop bright, vibrant colors while females usually remain more subdued in appearance.
