Koi Carp (6-inches)

Koi Carp, also known as Nishikigoi, is a beautiful ornamental fish famous for its bright colors and elegant patterns. Originally bred in Japan from common carp, koi are popular in garden ponds and large aquariums because of their graceful swimming and striking appearance.

• Size: 40–60 cm (can grow larger in ponds)

• Lifespan: 20–30 years with proper care

• Diet: Omnivore (koi pellets, vegetables, insects, and small aquatic foods)

Tank / Pond Requirements:

• Best suited for large ponds or very large aquariums

• Temperature: 18–25°C

• pH: 6.5–8.0

• Requires strong filtration and plenty of swimming space

Compatibility:Koi can be kept with other large peaceful pond fish such as goldfish and other koi varieties.

Special Note:Each koi has unique color patterns, including combinations of red, white, black, yellow, and orange, making every fish visually distinct.
