Calico Swordtail

Calico Swordtail is a beautiful and colorful freshwater fish known for its unique mix of red, white, orange, and black patterns across the body. Like other swordtails, the male has a distinctive long sword-like extension on the lower tail fin, giving the fish its name. These hardy and active fish are excellent for community aquariums.

• Size: 8–10 cm

• Temperament: Peaceful and active

• Tank level: Middle swimmer

• Lifespan: 3–5 years

• Diet: Omnivore (flakes, pellets, vegetables, live or frozen foods)

Tank Requirements:

• Minimum tank size: 60 liters

• Temperature: 22–28°C

• pH: 7.0–8.0

• Prefer planted aquariums with open swimming space

Compatibility:Calico Swordtails can be kept with other peaceful fish such as guppies, platies, mollies, tetras, rasboras, and other community species.

Special Note:Swordtails are livebearers, meaning they give birth to live fry and can reproduce easily in a healthy aquarium.
